A chance to get your needle and thread out for this creative project!

Slow Stitchery

Make a Needle & Pin Case
Get in touch with your inner creative and sew a simple and useful needle case. This one features embroidered motifs cut from felt and cotton but any scraps of fabric, ribbon, buttons can be used for embellishment. It can be sewn slowly and entirely by hand.

Practical Patched Pinny to Sew
Get creative using fabric and trimmings you may have stashed away and sew a colourful, quirky, one-of-a-kind pinny/half apron.
You may find potential in things around the home: a clean colourful tea towel, cotton clothes you’ve outgrown, pretty pillow cases or napkins and scraps of fabric and trimmings. This project features simple straight lines and slow sewing by machine (preferable) or by hand.

Artist Bio
I design and create bags, clothes and soft furnishings using fabric and trimmings I’ve gathered over the years. With a flair for mixing colours and pattern I re-purpose and re-fashion out grown,  pre-loved clothes and fabric into something new and fun.. My background is in fashion, graphic design, painting, teaching and conservation. I’ve recently taught bag sewing at FRP(Forest Recycling Project) using fabrics that would otherwise have gone to landfill.
